Fresenius Centennial

Frankfurter Festhalle

Frankfurt am Main (DE) – 2012

Fresenius’s 100th-anniversary celebration at Frankfurt’s Festhalle. Choreographing the music for the immersive 360° film using acoustic holography. The beginning of the performance stuck in our minds especially. The Babelsberg Film Orchestra begins to play live, original, and unplugged. The first notes, penned by Enis Rotthoff, come directly from the stage – and are only audible at the tables in the immediate vicinity. Then, barely discernible, the music, which was pre-recorded at Babelsberg’s Film Scoring Stage and pre-mixed in our spatial sound studio, takes over. Accompanied by large-format images, the audience’s attention is initially focused on the musicians on stage as the sound of the orchestra gently expands upward onto the screen. Then, in a grand gesture, the sound turns to embrace the entire audience, immersing them in the images of the 100-year historical journey that has just begun.
